Bob,
Like Paige mentioned, we don't have a set system for linking our digital
maps in the OPAC. All of our images are in ContentDM and in my opinion
both our OPAC and ContentDM search functions are quite clunkly and can
lead to frustration for users. So I've been waiting for some other way
to provide access to these collections, which we do right now via
seperate webpages for the collections. That being said, we are in the
process of choosing a new interface for our OPAC, the two systems in the
running both have the capability to search ContentDM content so I am
hoping that is the quick and easy solution to this issue. In fact, I
practically jumped up and down during the demos when that subject came up!

Marcy

    Hi,

Are any map librarians linking to their own map image database from a
Voyager catalog or from WorldCat Local? We do this for the David
Rumsey maps, but I wonder if anyone is linking from a map record in
their OPAC to the specific individual image in their own database of
    map images.

Any information would be great. And in fact linking strategies from
any of the standard OPACs would be interesting.

    Bob
