In support of the OCLC Internet Cataloging project, I have established the

INTERCAT on [log in to unmask] - OCLC Internet Cataloging Project
 
INTERCAT is a pubic email list dedicated to facilitating communication
concerning the OCLC Internet Cataloging project.  Project participants
and interested others are welcome.
 
INTERCAT list members are encouraged to post questions, pose discussion
topics, provide examples, or share methods and solutions related to the
identification, selection, and cataloging of Internet resources.  Topics
may relate to, for example:
 
 1. Use of the MARC format, AACR2 cataloging rules, or other cataloging
    technicalities related to Internet resources
 2. Selecting Internet resources for cataloging; criteria and policies
 3. Cataloging workflow implications
 4. Required staff skills
 5. New training needs and tools
 6. Determining and encoding electronic location and access information
    (field 856)
 7. Database and catalog maintenance
 8. "Holdings"
 9. Intra- and interinstitutional cooperative relationships
10. Preservation, database stability, and long-term access
