First of all, please specify which scale maps and of what date: no Web
Site (at least, that of the Ordnance Survey at present) is going to
carry every single conventional sign - with explanation - of all its
productions over the last 200 years! You MIGHT find the answer to
your inquiry in 'Ordnance Survey maps: a descriptive manual' by J.
B[rian] Harley (Southampton: Ordnance Survey, 1975). It largely
depends on what you want - 'current' or 'historic' maps/plans...

     Yours sincerely
Francis Herbert (Curator of Maps, RGS, London; Founder Member, Charles
Close Society for the Study of Ordnance Survey maps)
