------------------
The MAGERT Honors Committee invites you to send in nominations for the
MAGERT Honors Award. This award recognizes lifetime achievement and
contributions to map and geography librarianship. 2003 recipient
Dorothy McGarry, Librarian Emerita at UCLA and former Head of the
Cataloging Division of the Physical Sciences and Technology Libraries at
UCLA, was presented with her award at the MAGERT conference reception on
Toronto. A full list of past recipients can be found on the MAGERT web
site.

Please send letters of nomination to Honors Committee Chair Mary
McInroy, either via e-mail ( [log in to unmask]), fax
(319-335-5900), or snail mail (Mary McInroy / Map Collection / 3111 Main
Library / University of Iowa Libraries / Iowa City, IA 52242-1420). In
your letter of nomination, please describe how your candidate has made a
lifetime and significant contribution to the field of map and geography
librarianship, e. g., stature, service, and publications in any or all
areas of map and geography librarianship. Attach additional pages if
necessary. If more information is needed, the committee will contact
you. Thanks.

Deadline for receipt of nomination letters: December 29, 2003.
