There appears to continue to be a considerable number of people
      who are confused as to the difference between replying to the
      list and sending a message directly to a member of the list who
      has made an offer of free materials or something else which
      might not involve the list members as a group.  If you wish to
      avail yourself of the opportunity to acquire free materials or
      to converse with a specific person on a matter not of general
      interest, please respond to the person specifically and not to
      the list.
