Map Link has recently obtained a number or new maps covering the Czech
Republic and Slovakia published by two local commerical publishers:
 
 Kartographie Praha  which publishes the following for the Czech Republic::
 
        20  city plan titles
        11  maps of Prague- including 5 historical maps of historic
districts
        5    country maps
        1    set of 15 historical facsimiles
        11  200k road maps of the country - partial coverage
        45  100k topomaps with recreational info (1 sheet short of complete
country coverage)
        12  50 k topos of selected areas - prague and hiking areas with
recreational info
              some other miscellaneous titles
 
Vojensky Kartograficky Ustav which publishes the following for Slovakia:
 
        11  city plans
        2    country maps
        35   50k topo maps of selected areas - with recreational info - ski
and hiking etc.
 
        Both of these companies have taken over the functions of the former
government mapping agencies and are publishing under contract to their
governments as welll as commercially. These are good quality maps on good
paper.
 
        Prices aare from $4 to $10 per sheet with some set prices available
and some higher prices for special titles.
