We wondered what the difference between the two Congressional District
CDs for the 104th congress was, and called the Data User Services Division
to learn that the reissued _Congressional districts of the United States :
summary tape file 1D, summary tape file 3D : 104th Congress._ contains
corrections.

According to Cathy McCully, the Census Bureau User Services Division
geographer working on this product, the differences between the two CDs are
minor. They contain 23 files (=pages) of map image metafiles for districts
with boundary changes. Some of these files were included as landscape rather
than portrait images on the initial release. As the landscape images are
truncated when displayed (with a information lost to the user), the CD was
reissued to insure that users received all of the information in a portrait
display. She indicated that the reissued CD is intended to replace the
originally issued CD-ROM, so the initial release is superseded by the reissue.

The corrected version was distributed on GPO Shipping List 95-0012-E,
with SuDocs number C 3.282/4:104-2, and OCLC record number 32269290.
