Our catalog here at UC Davis

(http://harvest.lib.ucdavis.edu/F/?func=file&file_name=find-b&local_base=ucd01pub)


indexes the 052 field. So does Melvyl

(http://melvyl.cdlib.org/F/?func=file&file_name=find-b&local_base=cdl90),

the catalog for the all the University of Californias. We're both using
ExLibris Aleph Software for our ILS. We can either browse by geographic
code or do keyword search on geographic code.  I don't know the
technical details of how the indexes are made.
