Subject: New Maps-L moderator

Now that most people have noted Johnnie's passage into retirement, and
also couldn't help but note that Maps-L hasn't flagged, I thought it
would be appropriate for me to post a few words about the new moderator,
since it's only proper that people performing public roles shouldn't
have to introduce themselves.

The new Map-L moderator is Angie Cope, who has been with the AGS Library
staff since 2002 as the Cartographic Materials Catalog Librarian.
Besides cataloging maps, globes and digital spatial data she also
performs collection development, reference, outreach and other duties
throughout the AGS Library. Angie has an M.L.I.S. from UW - Milwaukee ;
an M.S. in Resource Planning and a B.S. in Geography, both from
Southwest Missouri State University (SMSU).

Angie is involved with a number of professional organizations including
ALA- MAGERT and OLAC.  Angie is also a citizen representative on the
Ozaukee County Comprehensive Planning Smart Growth Citizens Advisory
Committee.

FYI, Angie will be attending the CUAC conference at LC in May, which
will provide a great opportunity for many of you to get to know her.
