* Apologies for cross posting *

Branner Earth Sciences Library & Map Collections is pleased to announce the acceptance of the AAA of Northern California, Nevada & Utah (known at the California State Automobile Association) map collection. This collection was held by the cartography section of the CSAA, which could not keep it when their offices were moved from San Francisco to Walnut Creek, CA. The collection includes approximately 7,000 road maps dating back to the 1960s, USGS topographic maps for all three states, plat maps, Thomas Guides, base maps, linen maps and scribecoats.

More information can be found here.

We're quite excited to have this collection as are the students and faculty on the campus. They've already started using some of the road maps.

Best,

Julie
