      Announces A VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN

                   GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SCIENCE

        The Department of Geography-Geology at Illinois State University
invites applications
for a one-year non-tenure-track faculty position in Geographic
Information Science and its
applications.  This appointment will begin on August 16, 2003, and end
on May 15, 2004.
The position will be at the Assistant Professor level: ABD is required;
Ph.D. is preferred.
The successful candidate will teach one section of Geographic
Information Systems each
semester using ArcView 8.2, as well as general education and thematic
courses in her/his
areas of expertise.  Other responsibilities of this appointment include
department service
and supervision of student research projects.
