An interesting article in the /Washington Post/ today indicating that
one-sixth of the books and periodicals in the Library of Congress have
been misplaced (link below). I'm a regular user of the LC, and I would
place the figure much higher. What baffles me is that I also spend quite
a bit of time at the British Library, which has problems of a different
sort but very rarely loses books.
