I'm cataloging cadastral ms. map of a California town for which I have been able to find northern and western coordinates. I encountered a problem in Connexion (Web) with the MARC 034 field which requires that all 4 subfields, $d-$g (W, E, N & S) be present in the record. The subfields pass inspection (validate) filled with an "X". Is there a conventional filler I should/could be using for the fields with unknown content?
