Colleagues -

There is a recent article in the September 2002 Proceedings of the American
Philosophical Society (Vol. 146:3, pp. 264-281) entitled "The Greatest
Misnomer on Planet Earth" by Seymour Schwartz. It is an interesting
discussion on the naming of America.
