Standard way to describe the Equator is "N 0[degrees]" even though
that may or may not be technically correct. Anyone finding a bib.
record on OCLC where the Equator is described as S 0[degrees] should
just accept it that way, same is true for E 0[degrees] for Greenwich.
Standard set of coordinates for world maps that cover the entire world is:

(W 180[degrees]--E 180[degrees]/N 90[degrees]--S 90[degrees])
