fyi, on our NYPL opac, if there is a digital copy of a map, there is a
direct link from the catalog record to the digital and also in reverse.

Apologies for cross-posting.

One record or two: how to provide access to digital copies

With the increase in libraries creating and acquiring digital maps that
are often copies of print maps comes the question on the best way to
provide access. Should there be one record for both or separate records
or some other variant? Come here all sides and share your own at the
ALCTS/MAGERT Cartographic Materials Cataloging Discussion Group at 8:00
am Sunday June 29th in the Anaheim Convention Center, Room 203B.

Other topics may be discussed if time permits.
