Dear Maps-L Subscribers:

Happy 2008! I'm going to allow attachments to Maps-L emails.

A few things to consider:
1) Attachments will become part of the Maps-L archive (
http://www.listserv.uga.edu/archives/maps-l.html ).
2) I don't know how this will affect subscribers who receive their
emails in digest mode.
3) People away from their email who have inbox limits may want to change
their settings to no-mail ever so often.
4) The majority of files I expect to see are jpgs and pdfs.
5) Let's keep attachments to reasonable sizes (under 500K, preferably
smaller).
6) I actually receive each and every email before forwarding and may
choose not to allow certain attachments.
7) You're all such a well behaved group of map enthusiasts, I don't
foresee any problems.
