Ken,
 
The prismatic boxes can be used for shipping maps (put
mailing tape around them) or checking out maps (put strong
rubber bands around them).  Actually, sometimes they work
better, especially with older maps, since you don't have to
pull the maps out or worry about rolling them so tight.
