For the recent 19th International Conference on the History of Cartography
in Madrid (1-6 July) there were three exhibitions, each with its own
published catalogue.

I have purchasing details only for the one devoted to the treasures of
Spanish cartography, held in the Biblioteca Nacional, Madrid.  This is 356
pages long, bilingual Spanish and English, with a number of fine quality
colour plates.

If you are interested in buying a copy of the catalogue, I am told you will
need to do the following:-

*  send a fax to: "Ministerio de Educación y Cultura, At. Jefe del Servicio
de Publicaciones, Area de Cultura", asking for the catalogue "Tesoros de la
Cartografía Española" [ISBN 84-88699-49-2].   Fax No. 34 91 549 34 18

*  they will then send you a proforma invoice explaining how you have to pay
[sorry, no credit cards]

*  once they have received payment they will send the catalogue.

I am sorry not to have ordering information for the other two exhibition
catalogues:-

'Libros de geografía en la Universidad Complutense: desde la Antigüedad
hasta el siglo XVIII' [no sign of an ISBN]  {in Spanish, 109 pp., with many
illus.}

'Madrid en sus planos: 1622-2001' [ISBN 84-7812-516-7]  {introductory text
in Spanish, 301 pp., oblong folio, comprised mostly of plates}
