Subject: Shortened hours for Map Division, NYPL due to Sept. 11 impact
on budget
Sender: [log in to unmask]

Dearest Mapsters,

The New York City budget process, and thus the NYPL's budget process, has
been badly damaged by the
September 11 attack on New York City and Washington, DC. and the resultant
economic downturn.

Therefore the Map Division has been cut back in our hours, hopefully only
for the summer.

Please note the following new schedule of hours.
We continue to be closed on Sunday and Monday as in the past.

Tuesday 1-7:30
Wed-Sat 1-6

........................I've always wanted to be able to sleep 'til noon on
Saturday....oops, sorry, just mumbling to myself here........

Please make a note of these changes in your various map library
directories. Many thanks.

Alice
