The Journal of Spatial Science is seeking a reviews editor.

Duties include
-sourcing books for review from publishers
-assigning reviewers
-editing of reviews as needed
-sending published reviews back to the original publishers.

-compiling short abstracts of relevant articles from a number of
exchanged journals (usually simply paraphrasing the abstracts published
in the journals).

The journal is published twice a year (June and December), so duties are
not onerous.
Deadlines for submission of reviews and abstracts to the chief editor
are the beginning of March (for June) and beginning of September
(for December).

The journal covers the whole range of the spatial sciences: cartography,
historical cartography, geodesy, remote sensing, photogrammetry,
surveying, etc, but the position does not require specialist knowledge
in these fields.
