Project Alexandria - one of six NSF-funded Digital
Library Initiatives - has as its object online access
to spatial data.  The prototype was completed in
mid-February.  The next goal is to have prototype
functionality up on the Web by early November.  Currently
on the Alexandria homepage, there is - amongst many
other items! - a "slide show" of the prototype.
Do take a look and let us know what improvements
you would like to see.  Homepage address is:

It is probably going to change at some time in the
future to alexandria.ucsb.edu; I'll let you know
when/if that happens.
