Hello Readers,
 
I'm looking for a an english listing of projections commonly used by the
Geographical Survey Institute (Japan) and Geological Survey of Japan for
all common scales between 1:2,000,000 and 1:2,500.
 
I'm also looking for an english explanation of the coordinate systems
used in Japan.  As an example, do they have an equivalent to the U.S.
State Plane system and if so what are its particulars.
 
Anyone have any ideas?
