Mark Monmonier's latest book looks at that most ephemeral of maps, the
weather map.  In _Air Apparent: How Meteorologists Learned to Map, Predict,
and Dramatize Weather_, Monmonier traces the history of the weather map
from the invention of the isobar to doppler radar and the weather website.
