This MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) begins in July:
https://www.coursera.org/course/maps . The course formats are
interesting and evolving, and not suited to all tastes or skill levels.
My purpose here is informational, not to criticize the format. These
courses can certainly provide introductory information to large groups,
if some effort is given.
