The online version of our exhibit “Footpaths to Freeways: The Evolution
of Michigan Roadmaps” is now available at:
http://maps.lib.msu.edu/miroadmaps/. The physical exhibit can be viewed
at the Michigan State University library from March until June, 2007.
This exhibit traces how roads have been depicted on Michigan maps from
the time it was a territory to the present. There is one section on oil
company maps. Comments welcome.
