Dear Marilee,

I am completely biased, but I would recommend The Times Concise Atlas
7th Edition. This is published by Random House in the USA. This is
a very good and modern atlas, but with the familiar Bartholomew style
(layer colours for height, amnd
so on). For a really detailed
reference atlas then maybe the Times Comprehensive (also from
Random House in the USA). This is currently very traditional in
appearance (which a lot of people like) as it is now the only
atlas we have not converted to being DTP produced.

regards
