Good morning!

The members of the Honors and Awards Committee, Geography and Map
Division, Special Libraries Association, are seeking nominations for the
Division's Honors Award. Nominees do not have to be members of the SLA
Geography and Map Division, although Division members are given first
consideration as the award guidelines state: "The Honors Award may be
given annually, at the discretion of the Honors and Awards Committee, to
an individual who has made an outstanding contribution in the field of
geography, cartography, or map librarianship, either for specific
activities or for general service and contributions in these fields.
First consideration is given to members of the Division." The award was
established to recognize outstanding members of the cartographic
community in 1954 and first awarded to Marie C. Goodman in 1955.

If you know of a deserving individual for this Award please send their
name and contact information, and a brief letter/note of recommendation,
to any
of the following Honors Award Committee members:
