Suggestions and approaches from the experts please...

A Prof. I'm assisting has given me what looks to be loose pages of the fold-out section from the
DeLorme Alaska Atlas & Gazetteer showing a 1:4,800,000 scale physical relief map of the state
in color. He has also given me the USGS Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act of
December 2, 1980 map at 1:5,000,000 which includes boundaries for the lands he is studying:
the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska (NPR-A) and the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
(ANWR). What he wants is a reasonably accurate drawing of the boundaries of the NPR-A and
the ANWR lands as indicated on the National Interest Lands map transferred to the DeLorme
physical relief map...or some facsimile thereof. Before I storm off in all directions or pencil it in
by hand I thought I would ask for ideas? The scales are different but would a transparency trace
be "reasonably" accurate? What about GIS renderings? Too complicated for this task? All
opinions and assistance gratefully accepted/appreciated.
