I did this a few years ago. The scanner I used isn't really around
anymore. But one thing I'd look into is buying a used slide scanner on
ebay. Then when your done, you can sell it again on ebay, and get most,
if not all, of the money back

    Hello All,

    I received a request for a recommendation for a high volume/high speed
slide scanner from a faculty member who wants to scan his large
    collection of slides.

Does anybody have experience with a slide scanner that can handle a
large number of slides? If so, can you recommend a make and model?

Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

    John
