map folks--
It occurred to me that this is quite the laziest-- and the
quickest-- way for me to get this info... (I'll be putting it on the
Geonet, too; sorry for the duplication).
In putting together the poster for Boston, I thought it would be
fun to update Kit Fuller's list of geologic map indexes (GIS Proc., v. 15,
p. 85-89). Did a search on GeoRef and then on the USGS CD-ROM, but,
because of the oddnesses of index terms, I'm not confident that I have
them all.
SO, could you zap me a list of the indexes to geologic mapping
(published, open-filed, thesis, EVERY SOURCE) for your state. I'm only
interested in current indexes, so if an index supersedes an older index, I
only need to know about the current one.
Thanks-- and we'll see you in Boston!
                -- Connie Manson
