We have some of the 1:50,000 DMA quadrangles of USA areas (very
scattered coverage).  There's an index from USGS to such mapping, but
the little rectangles aren't identified directly.  You can tediously
figure out the numeric code for a rectangle (e.g., 5349 IV), and if you
store the maps numerically then you can find them.  I guess we could try
to annotate the little rectangles with a very fine-point pen. We also
have some  1:25,000 AMS maps using the same code, but with NE/NW/SE/SW
added, that we need to use the same index for.

Are there any better graphic indexes out there?  Perhaps by state?  That
indicate at least the numbers within the rectangles, or even the names
of the quads?
