Subject: Planimetric Maps

I have been doing original cataloging for old maps of mining claims in
Nevada. These maps show the outline of the claims and usually little else
except tunnels, ranches and roads. I know a plainimetric maps doesn't
show much elevation detail, so would this type of map be considered a
planimetric map?
