Here at LC we provide access to map images in two ways:

1) Via handles in bibliographic records such as the following bib. record
http://lccn.loc.gov/99466768

2) The same image can be found (outside of the LC OPAC) by searching the ibrary's Map Collections web site by author, keyword, geographic location, etc.

Hi,

Are any map librarians linking to their own map image database from a
Voyager catalog or from WorldCat Local? We do this for the David
Rumsey maps, but I wonder if anyone is linking from a map record in
their OPAC to the specific individual image in their own database of
map images.

Any information would be great. And in fact linking strategies from
any of the standard OPACs would be interesting.

Bob
