The NLA has two maps in a 1942 US AMC series
"South Sea Islands 1:50,000"

we have only two sheets:
#3 Saipan Island, Marianas Islands
#4 Ponape Island, Caroline Islands.


The maps were originally published by the Japanese in Showa 6 (i.e.
1931) and these US reprints retain the Japanese marginalia an the
Japanese script on the maps.


Does anyone else have any other sheets in this series, or any
information on its extent?
