All,

Saw this on the MAGERT list and thought this might be of interest to
others outside of MAGERT as well...

Paige

Subject: Seeking peer reviewers for Resources for College Libraries

Dear MAGERT members,

I write seeking peer reviewers for Resources for College Libraries, a
core list of recommended titles for college libraries published by
ACRL/Choice and R.R. Bowker.

We are currently seeking academic faculty and librarians with specific
subject expertise in Geography to participate in our peer review process.

Referees will be responsible for evaluating the section’s bibliographic
content, both qualitatively and quantitatively, and its taxonomic
structure. All referee work is scheduled for completion by August 15,
2010, though it’s anticipated that the review will only take up 2-3 days
of time in total and can be completed at your leisure over the summer.

Please consider submitting your name, or that of a qualified colleague,
for consideration. Preference will be given to those with experience in
teaching and/or collection development in the subject area. To volunteer
as a reviewer, please send an email to [log in to unmask]
<mailto:[log in to unmask]> with your name, CV/resume, and a brief
description of your qualifications, particularly any experience
maintaining or assessing core bibliographies.

RCL covers 61 curriculum-specific subjects and identifies approximately
70,000 titles most necessary for teaching and study at the undergraduate
level. For more information and/or to take a virtual tour of RCLWeb,
