     I am working on a project using GIS and emergency medical data. I am
using Atlas GIS for Windows, Dbase IV, Thomas Brother's Maps (Orange County,
California) Digital Cartographic Files, and digitizing paper maps. Each
record in the database is linked to a .25 square mile grid cell with a
unique numerical ID number and a zip code. These grid cells cover all of
Solano County, California (where I am doing my study). We do not have any
addresses in our database. So far I have determined the distribution of
medical emergencies during certain days of the year (going back to 1991),
and I have determined the distrubution of specific types of medical
emergencies such as gunshot wounds, heart attacks and auto accidents, and I
have analyzed ambulance response times to medical emergencies. Has anyone
done any studies/work related to GIS and emergency medical data? If you have
