Invitation to host the 23rd International Conference on the History of
Cartography (ICHC) in 2009

The Board of Directors of Imago Mundi Ltd. invites proposals for hosting the
2009 conference.
Please see the 'Guidelines for those organising future International
Conferences on the History of Cartography'
<http://www.maphistory.info/ichcguide.html>. The 'Guidelines' set out the
requirements for a successful conference and are intended to assist
potential hosts to prepare a strong case. In particular, please note the
first section, 'Offering to host a conference' and, specifically, that there
are no longer any stated geographical limitations.
Those considering hosting the 2009 conference should contact the Chairman,
Imago Mundi Ltd., Tony Campbell, 76 Ockendon Road, London N1 3NW, UK.

Formal proposals will need to be submitted by 1 December 2004. It is hoped
to announce the results in spring 2005.
