Subject: Re: map circulation/preservation (fwd)

I use a slip that has a space for the due date. It also tells them how to
renew, where to return maps, and what will be charged if maps are not returned,
lost, or damaged. I attach it with a rubber band or pink tie to the rolled map
before it goes in a tube. It can be slipped in a folded map or attached with a
plastic paper clip. The patron is informed of the slip and date. Most of the
time the slip comes back with the tube so it doesn't get lost.
