Maps-L to be down of a week

Friends:
     Maps-L will not be active between today and January 2, 2001. The
University of Georgia will be closed over that period.  In the past the
Moderator has been able to run the list via his home computer.  The
Moderator's home computer had to be sent in for repairs two weeks ago
and it now appears will not be fixed until the new year.  The Moderator
now has no way to keep the list running over the next week.  Maps-L
will return at the start of the new year.

May all the Maps-L subscribers have a happy time during this break.
