In the wake of the recent search for the source of the "1:1 scale
map" story, I would be delighted to hear of any other similarly
memorable, notable or just plain odd "cartographic quotes" from works
of fiction. I would be surprised if Louis Carroll was the only one
to wax eloquent about the map in his fiction? Any suggestions out
