Like Malaysia, Thailand has civilian and restricted editions of its
1:50,000 topographic series.
The civilian series is available over the counter at the Royal Thai Survey
Dept HQ in Bangkok. A civilian edition of the 1:250,000 JOGs (series 1501S)
is available (4 border sheets remain restricted, others may be out of
stock), for 80B each (40B = US$1).
They can also be bought from the normal distributors, such as Omni
Resources, Eastview, etc.

The civilian 1:50,00 mapping (series L7017) is also available in digital
formats.
Raster: all of Thailand is available at 600B/sheet, or 498,000B for all of
Thailand (830 sheets, US$12,450)
In vector format, the central area of the country and the area just north
the Malaysian border are available.

Their website is only in Thai.

The Bangkok branch of DK books in the basement of the massive Seacon Square
shopping plaza way out in the eastern 'burbs on Srinakarin Road, has a
large stock of 50k topos, 250k JOGs and Thai nautical charts. DK in Chiang
Mai also stocks the 50k and 250k sheets. Central Bangkok branches may or
may not. The Seacon Square seems to be a warehouse for remaindered items
(much of the English language books are 1970s vintage!), the map sales girl
was not in the day I visited, and the remaining staff were unhelpful, even
to my Thai colleague. On the plus side, there is an office supplies shop on
the same level, which sells cardboard tubes to make carrying your maps
easy. Tubes are often difficult to find, and the PO does not sell them.
