Subject: aerial atlases of italy/digital images?
Sender: mike furlough <[log in to unmask]>

Hi all,

We have in our collection several very attractive atalses of Italian cities such as Rome, Venice and others which include large scale plans and aerial photography. They are all published by Marsilio Editori in Venice, eg: Atlante di Venezia : la forma della cittą in scala 1:1000 nel fotopiano e nella carta numerica / a cura di Edoardo Salzano.

A faculty member tells us that we should have gotten the CDs that included the aerials in digital format with these. However, these were acquired long ago before I was on the scene, and we have no records of CDs of aerial phtography of Italy in our collections. The website for the publisher doesn't indicate the availability of a companion CD, and it doesn't seem like the kind of publisher that
would be producing CDs.

So I write to ask: does anyone know what he's talking about? Perhaps some of you have these atlases and can confirm that there are/aren't companion CDs. Or, perhaps some of you have a similar product to which he is referring, or know of a (very affordable) source for digital aerial photography of Venice.

Any help would be appreciated.

mike
