Also Kathleen, we published an article in JMGL 4-5 years ago on just
this topic, map societies around the world. It has a list(s) of these.
Its "The Evolution of Map Societies: A Global Phenomenon" by Dawn
Youngblood, in Vol. 3, No. 1, 2006 issue.

I'm inquiring on behalf of a patron who is looking for information about
the Rand McNally Photo Auto Guide, an early route guide that included
photographs of intersections and landmarks. Very few are in libraries
and none appear (at this time) in the usual antiquarian book sites.

So I"m looking for collectors or knowledgeable people he could talk to.
I'm familiar with the Road Map Collectors Association and I will also
refer him to the Newberry. Are there any other map societies closer to
him on the east coast that he should know about? The patron is in Delaware.
