Jim,

If I had to take a stab at this I would guess that the LC G&M Division
would be the most appropriate place where all materials on map cataloging
have been collected, in part because many of the early titles emanated from
amongst Division members! There is also a good bibliography that was
published by the SLA G&M Division a few years ago, in which I worked on a
chapter of it while still working with Johnnie at UGA, titled, "Map
Cataloging Bibliography: Selectively Annotated" edited by Glenda Jo Fox
Hughes and Constance Demetracopoulos. It is "Special Publication No. 4"
from the SLA G&M Division and I'm positive there are copies of this still
available for purchase. Contact publications Business Manager, Anita T.
Sprankle, 406 E. Smith St., Topton, PA 19562 (610/
683-4166) to see if she still has some of these for purchase.

Hope this helps!

Paige

p.s. if there aren't any copies of the bibliography available let me know
and you can borrow mine if you need to!
