Subject: Air Map Corporation of America
 
        Thanks to those of you who responded to my question about making copies
of a set of aerial photographs of Long Island dating from 1930.  One of you
pointed out that if I undertake such a project I will need to make certain that
the photos are not still copyrighted.
 
        The photos were taken by an outfit called Air Map Corporation of
America, which had offices at 36-48 Flatbush Ave ext. in Brooklyn.  As near as
I can tell, the company no longer exists, but I don't know if they were taken
over by somebody else or what happened to their records.  If anybody out there
knows what happened to this corporation, please let me know.
