Aloha,

The USGS did produce a number of metric topographic quads of Hawaii in
the early 1980's at 1:25,000 at somewhat larger unique map sizes.

The oversize maps are of the smaller major Hawaiian Islands:

_Map sheet name_
  - Kahoolawe 8.5x15 min
  - Lanai North 7.5x15.5
  - Lanai South 7.5x15
  - Molokai East 11x18
  - Molokai West 11x19.5
  - Niihau North 8x15
  - Niihau South 8x15

With the subsequent and most recent revision of the 1990s, the USGS is
reverting back to producing all Hawaii topo quad maps at a unified
1:24,000 and 7.5min. (although a couple sheets may be a tad larger to
cover "edges or corners" of islands), as was done in the revisions of
the 1960s.

In addition, the most recent topos have moved from the Hawaiian datum
to NAD 1983. For more info on the Hawaii Revision Project, see:

Although I do not know what the standard cataloging practice might be
for these oversize topo sheets, I hope this info was useful.

Aloha,
Ross
