Hi, folks -

I was just reading the sagas (sagae?) of fixing map drawers and two
things came to mind:

1. Somebody (not me on account of I'm a computer dudette now) ought to
collect everything together, including both the dos and donts, into a
web page and put it on a quite accessible site.

2. If you come up totally empty on where to find the bolts, lock
washers, and nuts of the right size(s), I came on an outstanding REAL
hardware store today in Pasadena when I was looking for some brass
screws of a very tiny metric size (they had a suitable supply for all
but one of the sizes, but NO place else that I looked had any at all and
the one missing size is on order). They are Berg Hardware at the corner
of Villa and Altadena (495 North Altadena Drive, Pasadena, CA 91107-2538
626.793.3018 and 626.793.6161. I talked to one guy there (who turns out
to live in my apartment complex) and he says they will do mail orders.

Good luck.
