The University of Washington has also been involved with NSDI, with the
formation of the Washington State Geospatial Clearinghouse in 1997-98, at
http://wa-node.gis.washington.edu/. Various members of UW (including a
library representative) are also members of the Washington State Geographic
Information Council, which is involved with discussions of new standards and
implementations, as well as the FGDC framework projects (see
http://www.wa.gov/gic/ for state information).
