At Cornell University, we ran side-by-side tests with the Xerox 2510 and an
Oce-Bruning 7000. Both could handle 36" wide material; both pass material
quite gently over rollers; both cost about the same; both produced decent
black/white copies; distortion was about the same.

I would not put fragile material through these machines without protecting
it with mylar. Anything valuable would not be reproduced using these
machines.

My administrators finally selected the Oce-Bruning because their sales
people tried harder. It is being run from the Library copy centre which
is staffed. Prices are about the same as commercial printing stores
in town - but we are more convenient.

Student response to our new machine is enthusiastic - especially our
Architecture and City & Regional Planning people.
